Palmetto Perinatal Services Non-Profit is dedicated to improving maternal and infant health outcomes in South Carolina by promoting breastfeeding initiation and duration rates and reducing the incidence of premature births, low birth weight, and other risk factors that contribute to infant mortality. Our focus is on Black American infants, who are more than twice as likely to die before their first birthday as white infants.

 

Through accessible and culturally sensitive perinatal education and support services, we empower expecting parents and families with the knowledge and resources they need to give their babies the best possible start in life. We work in collaboration with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive network of support for families in need.

 

At PPS Non-Profit, we recognize the critical need to address the disparities in infant mortality rates in South Carolina. Our mission is to reduce these rates by providing effective perinatal education and support services to Black American families, ultimately creating a brighter future for all families in the state. We believe that by focusing on improving maternal and infant health outcomes, we can help create a healthier and more equitable society for all.
